Frogspawn hasn't fully opened in over a year but doubled in size

I've had a frogspawn in my 24g for something like 2 or 3 years. It has double in size but hasn't opened up completely in years. I actually forgot how opened it would get until I recently saw an old picture of it.

I've been neglecting my tank and some HA has taken over. I also had Xenia everywhere in my tank which I've pruned back a bit.

I recently did two 10% water changes and my parameters are as follows:
Ammonia 0
Nitrite 0
Nitrate 0
PH 8.1
Calcium 550 (expired test kit, so I dono how accurate)
12dkh
Salinity 1.025
Temp 74
Phosphate / no test kit for this, one is on order

Lighting is a xr30 radion turned down recently from 40 to 30 intensity about 7in from water and coral is 6in down in water. The lights are set to 'high growth' and run for 12hours.

Flow - one mp10 pointing right at the Coral about 10 inches away. The mp10 is usually about 40% power and in reef crest mode.

I don't feed the coral.

Any ideas? Too much/little flow or light?

Mine doesn't fully open unless there is a ton of food, or just a touch of nitrate in the water. I'm voting for too clean, although too much flow doesn't help either.

Mine likes higher alkalinity and closes up tightly when I run my alk at 9 vs 12. But nitrates really do play a big role in their health. Maybe feed heavier and lower alk and raise your light up a bit.
