Frogspawn Question

I've had my Frogspawn for about 2 weeks now and seems to be doing good for the most part. Most Frogspawn I see are nice and full but mine quite often looks like this..... What does this mean? Is it "stretching" for more light?
All tank parameters are right on where they should be

Thanks!!

It looks like there is something wrong with it. I just got green with purple tip frogspawn also and the third day it was fully open. Tentacles were thick and long.

You can look at my video and see on the right how it opens. I have 3 heads but each head is the same size like yours. So u can have an idea.

My nitrates are very high but still opens like that. However, the hammer on the left was full and thick like my frogspawn in the store but not anymore since I got it.

So I would assume that yours don't like the light maybe? Try to give less light to see maybe it will expand better to get more light? How is your flow. Mine opened a lot once I decrease the direct flow.

Thanks for the info and video. My tank is a 25 gallon cube. For flow I have an mp10. The Frogspawn is not in the direct flow of the mp10 but it does get a pretty big under toe where it's at.

The light is an AI nano. Right now it only maxes out at 35%. I figured that would be good while acclimating the coral to LED's.

Thoughts?

First off, it looks like this is actually a hammer coral.

I would think that it is stretching for more light. 35% is pretty low. Bump it up to 50 and watch for results.

Definitely frogspawn. Try more light. Mine opened within an hour under T5's, set halfway up the tank. They're pretty hardy, so just find the right spot and let em go.

It was under T5 lights when I bought it so I wanted to slowly acclimate to LED. So I will bump it up to 50% and keep an eye on it.

Thanks.
