All tanks are different, and because of this, general care of LPS is what Sk8R gave, and correctly so. That doesn't mean someone cant keep one alive and growing with improper care. His statement is absolutely correct.
Large post counts are an indication of someone who has done more than just come to this venue to offer dribble and criticism. It shows a commitment to helping people in this hobby and is anything but an extreme personality. True but not practical? Really? It is certainly practical to provide any stony coral with the requirements of health and growth. Proper husbandry is important for any creature in our care, that is just a reality. If you object to people who come here to offer help and sound advice then I really feel sorry for you. I suppose you think it would be better for people to reach a certain post count and resign? After all we really don't want someone who has been here for years and has loads of experience to be one of the people who answers questions and takes some of the myths out of this hobby. Who would want that?
