Fantastic! Great colonies.... I might have mentioned that..
I think I see a pearberry and a pink lemonade..
Can you list the corals we are looking at starting with that big beautiful granulosa looking one at the bottom?
Thanks!

  1. First coral is 30k lokani
  2. tyree purple monster
  3. Left of monster is pink lemonade
  4. Behind lemonade is my favorite I think is a red loripies that was a wild coral.
  5. The coral to right of red loripies? Looks like a pearlberry but has red tips and I don't know the name.
  6. Behind that is a palmers blue millepora

Really nice. I'm a big fan of shallow, and yours is sort of a side-view version of my reef pool. Mine is in a black tub, and lower to the ground so you feel like you are walking on the reef.

Your flow is going across, but I chose to do a circle.

Looking good Chris. I get to see this tank in person often. These pics do not do this tank any justice at all. The colors in person are some of the best that I have ever seen. All of these pieces have been grown from frags and some of them are well over six years old. This is the third system that Chris has moved his corals into during the ten or so years that He has been doing this and they just get better every time. Long term success doesn't come easy to some of us but these corals are all old timers. One of the best coral gardeners I have ever met. When ever i hear someone talking about Bonsai tanks I think of Chris's tanks. The difference is though while most aquascape their bonsai garden with rocks, Chris does it with corals. His original cube was the inspiration for my cube. Glad to see he is finally sharing it with the rest of the world.

Hey Dave, thanks for the frags agian. all but two frags made it. The (don't hate me cause I'm easy and the Cali tort)did not far well. they were in a bag for over 24 hours so that might be why. Thank you agian so much for the frags Dave and Chris.

How do you get your 30k Lokani to maintain the paler branches and purple tips? In my tank it turned dark purple with a slightly green reflective hue. Mine is on the sandbed about 30" under a 250w Radium, getting moderate flow.

My lokani looks like poop right now:bigeyes: The best it ever look was under my old 14 aqua connect 400 lamp. Here is a little project I just started on , glued some small Oregon Tort frags on bottle. Just take some shots every week and watch the growth.

Here is an update and not a good one. I will take down my new circle and reinstall my old tank that I just had 6" cut off of it. I'm having a reaction on the acrylic and need it repaired if possible . This started on the backside of the circle where the mp 40 was and started spreading .
