From hawaii

Snorkeling at molikini crater today was freaking amazing.. unfortunately gopro couldn't capture what I saw today.. there was tons of fishes and creatures at the reef. Not sure what was the problem. I also saw lot of montis and psacomma I guess thses 2 are major corals around hawaii?? Lot of triggers, tangs, wrasse, butterflyfish, and even pufferfish couple were there. If you go maui and don't do this snorkeling, you are dumb. Freaking amazing. Highly recommended...

Nature is beautiful I will never forget what I saw today.

If you going to snorkeling, dramamine is a must even with dramamine I forgot how many times I throw up lol.. i think reef is bleaching cuz of vomits not the sunscreen... lol but anyway still worth it

Congrats on the marriage

Don't know where you're staying in Maui but let me set you up with some snorkel hot spots.

1. Molokini Crater - Pacific Whale Foundation has some great trips. You can combine Molokini with Turtle Town or Lanai.
2. Black Rock - right out the back door of the Sheraton on Kaanapali Beach
3. Honolua Bay
4. Kapalua Bay
5. Napili Bay
6. Makeana Beach
7 Olawalu Beach aka Mile Marker 14

On another note, make sure you eat breakfast at Gazebos in the Napili Shores Condos complex. Sits on a point with awesome view and the macadamia nut pancakes are famous and rightfully so. You can then burn off the carbs with some great snorkeling on the beach right next to it.
If you eat at gazebo, go down to the tide pools. If you follow the beach along to the left and curve around about 100 feet or so, there is a bay where Sea turtles love to hang out and it's a good snorkeling spot as well.

Breakfast at Gazebos is every bit a must for us when we go to Maui as snorkeling. Will be back in March. Can't wait. Favorite time to go, weather, whales and great times.

Last update from maui
Went to maui public ocean center. I think if you just look at the reef area, over here is better than long beach. They are the few public aquarium where they use real ocean water (not necessarily successful on pest control) all fishes seems fat and healthy but some sensitive ones have ich or other parasites on their body. They use natural sunlight for corals on the big aquarium and small ones they use t5s with cheap led. Skimmer on the picture is for small show tanks and bigger one, I couldn't access it because I missed the last tour of the day.

Thank you so much for recommendation!!

If I can I'll def stop all those beach and the breakfast place. On maui, except molikini crater, we are more focused on road to hana trip. Can't really do whatever I want [emoji14]haha but yea thanks for the recommendation!!

If you do the road to Hana, I highly recommend the shaka guide app. It's a talking to guide with GPS tracking. It's totally spot on and tells you exactly what to check out. In between stops it gives talking points on the history of Maui.

I highly recommend taking a helicopter tour in kauai. I used blue hawaiian and recommend them. My son and I were in front seats and my wife in the back with another couple. she said view was still great. It is just as jaw dropping (if not more) then what you see underwater. well worth $300 per person. Best part was helicopter going into crater of volcano.
