Frozen Sea Food In Grocercy Store

I live in a small town and so the local lfs doesnt keep a variety of frozen sea food on hands. We have an Albertson store here that has quite of bit fresh sea food on hands. Could I get some then freeze it then use it and be safe with the Snowflake eel and dwarf lionfish. I go Colorado once a month and will be picking up a variety of seafood from the lfs there.

I also do it a lot. Fresh scallops, shrimp, and various saltwater fish from the LFS make up a large part of my tank's diet. I just buy a lot, cut it up, and freeze it after adding vitamins and other fish food.

That is the best place to get it actually. It is cheaper than lfs, fresher. And if your hungry you can eat it too! I buy my fish a variety of fresh food, just make sure it is not seasoned or cooked. You don't want to be adding pepper to your tank, and cooking the food breaks down some of the nutrients in the food.

Fish won't eat cooked. Tried to feed a can of tuna in my first tank and fish didn't even sniff it. I get raw shrimp and squid for like 3.99 for a 50 count here. My lfs wants $6 for a little package of like 20 cubes.
