I have no idea. Ive only used Jebo, and a custom one I made...

The way I made it was bought the Jebo UV light(16.99) plus its power supply(10.00), got some 12inch long 1'D SC40 PVC(Free) and I screwd it in with 2 hose barbs. Get a pump and tubing and I was running it on my 60g. Worked great!

Im guessing its the ultra violet light that makes them what they are?And you need water just passing through the light at a reasonable flow.

But what I like about Jebo is they perform well and all parts are easily found on ebay.

I think it's a copy version of the tetrapond UV.
