Hey all,
I'm gauging interest in my Aussie Harlequin Tusk. It's very hard to find a healthy Aussie Tusk variant this size, he is about 3.5"-4" big. I have tried unsuccesfully to keep very small juvie Aussie's (1.5"-2") and they never survived. This was the first I got of 3 that has survived and is doing great. He was about 3" when I initially got him & it took a long time to find one this size.
Very healthy, very active, eats like a pig. His temperment is mostly peaceful, doesn't disturb other fish in my tank & I have a lot of fish. BUT as the nature of the Tusk, he will decimate your snails, crabs, shrimp, he will eat them all. I just bought 25 hermits and watched him eat them all within an hour when I put them in. So just want to be completely upfront about that.
Would be a show fish for a FOWLR, or FO tank, I paid a pretty penny for him and I will sell for a firm $150. He will need a large tank as he grows, currently in my 70g cube he does fine, but he will grow. I would suggest at least a 75g-90g currently and then would need 100g+ down the line.
I would like to sell asap if possible as I'm going away this weekend. I am located in Fairfield and can meet comfortably anywhere in Fairfield, Sacred Heart University (I work there) or someplace nearby.
Please let me know soon if you have interest because it will go to the LFS for credit if not.
