FS: brand new vertex omega 130

Like the title says I have a brand new vertex omega 130 for sale. I bought this for my system but I can't fit it in the skimmer compartment along with my biopellet reactor so it's a no go. It's never touched water. Check out the reviews on these skimmers, the build quality is top notch as you would expect from vertex. Much better than any other skimmer I've owned. I hate to get rid of it but I just can't use it. Looking for $225 for a brand new skimmer that retails for $319. LMK

I'm currently running a WM mf121 but I'm having issues with the brand new pump and aquacave isn't being too helpful. I have find another skimmer so that I can send the pump back to them. I have to pay to ship it back too since this is the second time the pump is going back. I would not recommend aquacave for anything. I'm working on a reef octopus pov dc1.

I agree Ryan. I was curious for when I have to move since my water volume will decrease by 50 gallons and I fear the Skimz may be too much for such a small system.

You'll be fine, I was thinking of grabbing this for my upgrade to the 57g, but the main reason I sold my SRO was because I wanted a skimmer with a tiny footprint. Really contemplated this for some time. This made another website's one of their top 10 products of 2013 (or at least a very similar model).

I'm moving to Oxford. I'll be going from 160 gallons down to about 100.

No room for a basement sump for now.

According to the BRS site it's good for a well stocked 100gal tank. I was going to run it on about 70gal heavily stocked. Someone has to need a nice skimmer at a nice price.

Never mind, they are the same. How is the pump as far as noise goes? I had a Vertex Alpha on a larger tank a while back and it was very quite with the Red Dragon pump. Any thoughts on how this might compare?

Your reef octopus is 22", this skimmer is 20" tall an it has a threaded neck which makes removing the cup easier.

This thing is literally brand new, I never ran it. From what I've read its quiet but I wouldn't know how it would compare to a red dragon.

I expected this to be sold by now, I'm really surprised it's not. The price is right on this thing.

Honestly man, im so tempted to pick this up, but with future thought in mind im afraid it might be too small. Currently i have just around 100G of volume, and thats without my Frag tank installed. I keep looking at the thread to see if its sold and i cannot believe that its not!

Buy it and when you need to upgrade you should be able to sell it for the same price or close to. I honestly don't understand why it hasn't sold yet.

I'll have to see what shipping would cost. I just shipped out an aquamaxx hob-1 that was half the size and that cost me $18. I'm guessing this would be $25-30. I was really hoping to sell this local.
