FS Cowfish and Sailfin tang

I have these two fish for about a year and 8 months and they need a bigger house, I can't keep up with nitrates both need a lot of food and my system seems not been able to handle the load, anyone interested PM me $60 each. One thing about the tang likes to eat brains for some reason. Both fish are about 5+ inches. I'm about 6 miles from the Clermont Area on Hwy 50.

SO if you get them when they are small there is a chance it may not eat corals? They have some at Aquaholics doen here for $14 (spotted boxfish) and they are 1" IF EVEN THAT! I would love to get one but i have always heard to stay away from them because they eat corals.

I can only tell about the lactoria cornuta, Randy Holmes (Chemistry forum) had one for over two years in his reef with no problems, I asked him a lot of questions before getting mine.

If you get them small, they will get stuck on the filters, mine got stuck all the time when it was small I had to cover the modded MJ1200s. Also mine was one of the first fish to go in with three clowns, this gave the cowfish time to adjust. Another issue with them is if they die they could release a toxin that will wipe out all your fish, this is rare with the lactoria thou.

Mine thinks everything you put in now is food! I have to get couple of table shrimps to keep it busy when I introduce new corals, it did sample a leather coral but that's about it.

Ohh you need to cover your lights specially if they are MH mine spits water out from time to time to get attention!

That is too weird, i love it... Boxfish are too cool, another fish i want more than anything is a flashlight fish. Th only bummer si that they are schooling fish and need to have at least one other fish to be its companion. but sheck them out, they are really cool. Thanks for the info BTW

that video makes me want to try another. don't have the room but someone will be pleased with a fish like that. very nice.

I wish I had a home big enough for that cowfish.. after seeing your vids and taking care of him.. .I'd love to adopt him but just dont have a big enough tank setup yet
