I prefer to sell this locally so I am posting it here in the group. I recently upgraded to the ETSS 1400 and have free'd up my ETSS 800 and drive pump. This is practically turn key and has a voracious apetite for slime, muck and other assorted badness your tank has to offer. I ran this for a couple years on an ever growing system. It is ready to set up. Comes complete with the exhaust gate valve and input valve if you want to play with flow rates. I will let it all go for $270. PM me with any questions you may have.

Steve,

The processing power of this down draft design is outstanding IMHO. I have ~ 330 gallons of water and recently upgraded to the etss1400. Way more skimmer than I need, but I am good with that. I prefer heavy skimming and so do my corals. Once you see one of these run you will would know. As for the model you are asking about, I am not familiar with them. That design is a good one and seems to be one the industry employs on many needle wheel type skimmers. You are welcome to come check it out if you are in the area (Canandaigua)

One thing I failed to mention is this skimmer really make wet skimate water changes a breeze. The set it & forget it design is awesome. I will not use another skimmer. They are a bit large though. The 800 will not fit under a typical stand. Ideal for sump side setup

bye fro now

Will be holding for a visitor tomorrow evening. I will let other interested parties know via PM.

Thanks for looking

Rich bare with me on the questions...

1) I have 27 1/2 inches available to me under my cabinet. Will this fit?

2) Can I run this in a sump?

3) Were is the collection bucket and how do empty it?

4) How energy efficient is this skimmer?

5) Too much skimmer for my 180 system?

6) Is it ready to use or would i need more items for it?

Let me know. I'm looking to upgrade and this is in my range of what i was looking to spend.
