As a matter of fact mine gets some bananas every day. He and the copperband butterfly love them.

Hey there Paul, was wondering if you'd show up in this one since it's in a local area forum.

I'm still debating on getting him. My biggest problem right now is:

1), all of my fish are in a 190 holding tank and that's where he'd have to go.
2). I'm still trying to plumb the big tank and it's taking longer than I thought. I keep redesinging it.
3) most of my LR is now dead as I had no way to keep it alive so I'll have to re seed it and let it mature for a bit in the big tank before moving everyone back into it.

But I'm still thinking about it.

Yours will be happier in a 190 than mine is in a 100.
I have one more chance to collect sponge then my boat comes out of the water for the winter. It is 60 degrees here now and boating tonight will be cool.
Today I disconnected my kalk mixer and doser. Randy's home made calcium recipe adds more than enough calcium and the kalk mixer gives some problems to my auto feeder. I don't want any problems when I am in Sicily.

Hope you get your Idol soon and I hope you have luck with him. Mine seems very content (and fat)

when you said that all the idols you had were eating....were they eating pellets? or do you mean they were eating the sponge you picked and clams?

I never tried the sponge on any other Idol than the one I have now. All the other ones ate clams, mussels etc. I also did not try pellets on them. They were also in my fish only tank. My tank was not really a reef then.
