FS: New in Box Jager 200W Heater

I thought they were still submersible, since they are not it does not work for me.
It just saves me a trip up to Salty if I don't sell it I will just go up again later this month. Figured $8 off was just the same as $3 in tolls and $5 in gas.

I think it says not to submerse them, but as far as I know people are still submersing them without problems. I think they say that now to cover their butts.

They are submersible, sorry I try to tell most people but failed to do so with yours. Eheim bought Jager but could not keep the UL listing and had to do with reapplying and getting recertified for UL listing.

This was the reply from Eheim that another RC user got when asking them
-----

JAGER heaters are fully submersible according to European standards.
However since the production of JAGER heaters was moved to Germany when
EHEIM acquired the company, a new UL certificate must be issued for the
"New" company. This new certificate must be issued to comply with the
North American standards, until then the heater must be labeled as not
submersible in North America. Please note that all JAGER heaters comply
with ETL standards, which is the European Equivalent of the UL
certificate.

Good info to know also...if they weren't fully submersible I was gonna have a heck of a time getting them to fit in my sump! (Just ordered two of the 250 watt!!!)
