I will post some pictures in about an hour. I need to move these guys out so I can get my favorite clowns.

i am no clown expert but is there something special about those onyx to charge $200? i dont mean any disrespect... its an honest question.

200 bucks is pretty much the going retail rate for these. However the difference is that David's pair is 100% established and healthy.

8 out of 10 of the ones you buy from LFS will more than likely not eat any food and come down with brook and will need to be treated and QT'd properly.

i see... i got a pair from Rods reef but he says that they 'may not color up" but so far so good.. i guess this way you wont have that problem with these clowns

thanks

I got my Onyx clowns for $9.99 a piece ($19.98) total from Jeffs in Gardena a few months ago. They were babies.

$200 is certainly not the going rate.

Here's a pic of one of them

You can buy them from Black ORA false percs for $25, but if is trully a percula and they are mature/breeding then they are worth $200.

Hello=
Interested! I have a pair of false percs (over 10 years) in a 50g,
do u believe there will be a potential problem adding this pair.
Thanks dls

$200 IS the going rate for a pair marketed as "Onyx" percs. However, let me make myself clear.

Most LFS don't know the difference between onxy or regular percs and will usually sell them for $15-25 each. However, if they are marketed and sold as "Onxy" perculas, then the going rate for a 'pair' is anywhere from $100-250 (usually $199), depending on the source.

Good find at Jeff's.

An established pair is all the matters for that price mark. I hate bringing clowns in Qting them and then have them die from another disease.

Dennis I wouldnt think 2ice of mixing 2 established pairs in a 50g.

If they were all juvinile clowns you would have a higher chance of having them all as tank mates.

Sam

Dennis, I would not even consider adding this pair to your 50g tank with the existing established ocellaris pair you have.
