FS : PFO 250W HQI ballasts

We have 1 single 250W PFO HQI that was in use for less than 1 year. (was used for our prop tank, that we took down earlier this year)

Both ballasts are like new condition, neither has been exposed to water or any other caustic elements. Follow the links for pictures, as that is exactly what they look like now.

Hmmm... I have two 250HQI lights. I thought about upgrading from the el cheapo ballasts, but was scared off by the prices... Do you have pictures of the 'sockets' where the lights plug into the ballasts on the dual ballast unit?

The sockets on the ballast are the standard PFO ones. Marine Depot sells conversion cords (what we use) to connect them to the reflectors. Here is what the male end looks like :

Pic too small... My current get-up has a computer-type 3-prong flat-prong staggered plug (sorry for the cave man description, but I don't go claimin' to be an electrician...) Is your rig like that?

No, our old aquamedic was more like a computer plug, but the PFO's are a flatter plug. Do some searching around the net, I am sure that you can come up with a better picture or more information. Worse case you can get those cables for $7 each and rewire your reflectors.. that is what we did.

Or look at the single ballast link I provided, it shows the socket, the only dif between the dual and single is that the dual ballast has 2 sockets.

Just for point of referrence, here is what these ballasts would cost from MD. I included the shipping costs because unless you drove down to pick them up, that is what it would cost to acquire them from MD. Our ballasts were kept up and away from the tanks and are in excellent condition. I will take some pictures later on today to post.
