FS/T Gen - X External pump

I have a Gen X external pump model PCX 40 that came with my tank. I no longer need it so I figured I would see if anyone is in need of one. Make me an offer as I have no idea what this is worth. I'm willing to trade for some Live Rock or whatever else for the hobby Heres a link to the pump

Also going to have some 175W MH ballasts soon. I'm upgrading to new Icecaps. Getting 2 new ones next week. Pm or post makes no difference.

How are going to ask for the ballasts? I'm looking to switch to metal halides soon.

These ballasts are the magnetic ballasts. There are 3 all inside of one black box with a switch for each light. Then there is a fourth little box with one inside it. They work good. I just want to go to Electronic ballasts.

As far as price I really don't know what they are worth. Not much as they are the old style. Let me know what you want to give for them.

If they are new ballasts, a 175 watt GE magnetic ballast usually goes anywhere from about $50-75 depending on where you find it. That may give you a good starting point, but you might also want to do some research and see what other brands are selling for

Jim thanks for the info. Can you still buy magnetic ballasts? I thought they were the old style and now everyone buys the Electronic? But hey what the heck do I know.. LOL I'm waiting on a email from the previous owner as to how old they are. I believe he told me everything was between 1 and 2 years old. So maybe the box that has the 3 ballasts in it I'll let go for $100 to $120 bucks. Prefer to trade other then money.

They work great I'm just trying to go newer and save on electric costs at the same time. So I went with new Icecaps.

Yes if you go to any electrical supply company you can get MH or Sodium Vapor magnetic ballasts. It's suprising how many factories still use magnetic ballast systems for thier lighting
