FS: Tripp-Lite APS750 power backup

After reading this article on ReefKeeper magazine about safeguarding an aquarium, and fearing rolling blackouts, I decided to buy a UPS-style power backup. I was apparently so enthused I ordered two of them by accident!

The unit is a Tripp-Lite APS 750 battery charger + power inverter. You plug it into the wall, wire it to a big 12V battery, and plug your critical components into it (in my case, pumps, powerheads, skimmer). If the household power cuts out, the battery takes over without missing a beat. When main the power is on, the APS keeps the battery charged.

APS750 basically an upgrade on the unit described in the above-mentioned RK article, which has been discontinued.

Brand new, still in the shipping box. Asking what I paid... $350. Does NOT include the battery. You'll need to buy a 12V marine or deep-cycle battery. Cheap one runs about $50. I'm using a spare car battery, though that's not ideal.
