FS: Vortex Diatom XL

I have a used Vortex Diatom XL filter for sale. I have never used it, it was part of a package deal. I do have the box and a new bag of diatom powder.

I just cleaned it up and tested it out. Works perfect, I already have one and dont need another. These really do work great for polishing the water. I use mine usually the same day I do water changes just for upkeep. But anytime I have ever added sand or stirred things around in my tank these filters clear the water in no time. What used to take a day or two to settle now takes an hour or two. I really dont want to carry this with all the other stuff to the frag swap so the first $50 gets it.

LoL love the testing platform! If I didn't already have one I would pick it up. I didn't think anyone else used these things. Good to see because I think they are nice little units that do a great job!

Wow so this is like a as needed filter that wipes everything out but bacteria. Sounds awesome wish I lived in your area.

The diatom powder really acts as a an extremely fine micron filter, trapping pollution in the water.
