Picked up my 150 this morning! Really Happy with it except the fact that the guys didnt drill my holes for the drains 1'' bulkheads. oh well, drilled my old tank so it shouldnt be a problem. Anyways, got 2 pics before it started pouring outside.

Im not that experienced as far as plumbing so if you guys can suggest where i should drill would be really helpfull. (under overflow box for stand pipe or right in the back using a strainer)

That tank looks awesome Mel!!! So what size is your drain now?

Thanks J! Nothing too special.....i really like the eurobracing. as far as the drain....i have 1'' bulkheads....not sure if i should drill on the bottom or directly in the back. what would you suggest. im not familiar with the whole drain placement so i need advice. does it make sense to even think about putting the drains in the back wall of the overflow???

Those Sea Swirls gonna look nice with that tank bro.

Thats right!! I completly forgot i bought those!

drill the bottom on the left or right (not center).. That way you won't have problem installing the standpipe. How thick is the acrylic? look kinda thin for eurobrace though..

Hey Elite, the acrylic is 1/2'' thick all around and the bracing. Should be strong enough right? regarding the drilling, di need to drill just one or 2 holes?? im still looking into that.

Can you fit two standpipes in that box?? it doesn't look that big (8x5 ??).. If you can drill hole for 1.5" bulkhead, I would do that. Buy a bulkhead first before drilling.

For the thickness, I still think 1/2" is kinda thin for the tank this size. Hopefully it won't bow when you fill it up with water.

Edit:
The tank is 60x24x24 :) .. Even at 24"H, I think there is a good change that the tank will bow.

elite, the overflow is 8x5......it is kinda small but i think it should do the job. the tank is 60x24x24. 30d x 30 high would be really sweet!

Nothing yet J, Plan on drilling and working on durso this weekend. Possibly look for a stand aswell. Know anyone selling a stand? possibly 30'' to 34'' tall. or local stand builders?

Do you want steel stand or wood? My friend is a welder and he can build one but I don't know his sched at this moment.
WM build stand right?
