Our dachshund had an eye infection that required a type of medication that dilated her pupils. The flash of the camera turned her pupils green which made it obvious that her one pupil was MUCH larger than the other and gave the appearance of a pirate.

It just so happened to be Halloween so we went to the store and bought here a pirate costume, check her out:

Bella the Pirate (she is not in any pain, she actually enjoyed the costume )

Those are her real colors, but I have only seen ONE other dachshund that looks like her. Brindle seems like a pretty rare coat among dachshunds.

They are great dogs with a ton of personality. The only bad thing is potential back problems.
