OK guys, i was not visited by the FWC tonight, but rather was called by them ont he phone. They told me that none of the materials on the rock were illegal themselves, but that the rock was, and that since it was so little of rock and i was not planning on selling it or doing it ever again, they told me that i just have a warning, but that i have to let other people know just how serious the FWC is about taking rock. I am soo relieved that we dont have to pay a fine or have my dad imprisoned for anything. I certianly have learned my lesson and will NEVEr EVER do it again. SO here it is

Seth, thats great news!! Im so glad you were able to learn your lesson without being in serious trouble with the FWC.

Now the question remains as to if they will follow up on the whole fileing a false report with a Law Enforcement Agency..... Which IIRC can have a stronger punishment than you could get for the rock situation. Glad its gonna work out for you Seth, any word on keeping the tanks or are the parents still making them get taken down?

hahahaha, not coldhearted at all, actually i need to get rid of it, so that makes me feel better kwoing people are even a ltitel interested, i made a whole thread with it all on there, so you can check, it all out. Brannon, you and Becca have first dibs on the whole tank setup becuase you PM-ed me before i made the post, so i made an offer to your wife.....

Seth BREAKING the law is what caused it all. Sure, posting here is what brought it to the attention of the FWC, but the illeagle activity is what caused the issue.
Now on to other comments.
He DID know it was against the law. Many times he has posted in collecting threads about getting a licence and learning the laws. Even in his first post about this, he said it himself, he knew it was wrong.
I think, 100%, that tax dollars should be spent enforcing laws, regardless of how trivial YOU may think the offence is. Again, I know there are other BIGGER offenders, but it was wrong. And really it doesnt matter how close it was to a reef, FL LAW SAYS NO LIVE ROCK!

Dude, it sucks. You messed up. I think the punishment DOES fit the crime. A warning is fair. My comments really are not directed at you at all. You know you screwed up, you are having to deal with it.
I also have my doubts about the "report" myself. My THOUGHTS are they were not over stated nearly as much as we have read.
My single biggest beef here is people flaming the person doing right! It is just like when criminals in jail say "I am only here because of the COPS" and ignore the fact that they are there because they broke the law.

Dont worry about the drugs stuff I just had a bug up my butt and had to share just how stupid some people can actually be and that there are worse things out there
Oh, and House totally rocked tonight. For an older dude (twice my age maybe?) he's totally hot. I thouroughly enjoy a good sense of humor and sarcasm.. Not to mention how blunt he is. The world would be much simpler if more people were outspoken and would call it as they see it

Well, "I" dont even kow almost anyting abotu what the "report" really is. All i know is that whatever the person who reported said made the FWC think alot more thatn it actually was, and they seemed almost upset when they realized what the situation actually was. But i am not lying about any of this, and this IS a real thing, i am just as clueless as you guys are, i am jsut tryign to figure it all out, im just glad that it wasnt worse as it COULD have been...
