IF there is a sale at PW, yes he could have a private sale to special loyal customers like yourself. Then Bob should start an email signup for those customers who would like to receive special discounts.
Please keep all future special sale information to yourself. This is a special LIRA forum. We do not want to have any false information passed on here that involves our clubs name.

hey Jan....I went to Joe's Deli for the sale on a 1/2 doz bagels and the free 1/2 lb of salmon. I talk to Joe himself and he said what sale! I had to pay full boat......I guess I didn't give the password or secret handshake, maybe I should have given him the high sign......LOL

First, I don't think reefly intentionally meant to pass on false information at the expense of the club. He probably did get the sale price he mentioned and probably only was trying to help others.

Second, I don't know that this is really a special LIRA forum. It is forum hosted by RC, yes, an area where people can post info that might be helpful to members of LIRA OR the other folks in the local area. LIRA has its own private forum that it is allowed to regulate in any way it deems fit. But LIRA board members probably shouldn't be dictating how the forum on RC should be used--that's RC's job.

Still, someone like Larry probably ought to clarify that, as someone like me really can't speak for RC either.

How does Country Critters stack up to Aquarium Adventure? AA has generally good quality fish, nice displays, mostly knowledgeable people, and 2-day guarantee. They are expensive, however. Significantly more expensive than Fishtown, though. How does CC compare, and are there any other stores worth trying?

I guess what I'm asking is, what's the best LFS on LI? Why are they best?

It's all personal opinion what's the best. If you like the store, the personal are friendly and knowlegable
and the live stock healthly .... then it's the best...

otherwise it's not...

I have been going to Pets Warehouse since the store was in Bohemia. Have been treated very well even when they helped a freshwater club with fish for yearly auctions.
I have had good luck with almost everything I purchase.
When I see a sale notice it is time for a road trip.

Everyone should check out the new Animal Tailz (aka PETS) in Bethpage. There Salt Water is definitely going in the right direction. Not to mention that the help is helpful and if you ask a question they don't know they tell you they don't know instead of giving some generic BS answer.

Everytime I go there they get better.
