Gabriel's NEW 300 Gallon Envision Tank ((PICS INTENSE))

Wow Bebo, I am impressed. You've done a great job putting this system together. I really like the stand too!

I dont think this has been asked yet,

what type of tank are you going to do? I am guessing SPS because of the huge CaRx, but just a guess.

very nice setup!

I just ordered a 375 and use a wavebox right now on my 125. I can't figure out why you are using the 2" slots for your overflows. Is it to keep the waves from splashing out of the top of your tank?
If so, I think you will need more than a single wavebox!
Please let me know your thinking as I can still have my tank modified.

The Tunze wavebox is supposed to create a 1" wave. if the slots for the overflows are under 2" you run the chance of having the wave spash out of your tank. Moonpod has the wavebox on his 10'x3'x2' tank and gets a nice 1" wave. He used the extension but didn't see that great of an improvement. Ill see when i get it running. James also recommended 2" better safe then sorry because one they are in you cant change them.

Yes i am going to have mostly SPS in the tank. The CaRx is huge:D and is not expensive that is why i got it. Scott at Aquatic Systems Design does great work at a great price....

Thanks for asking, i forgot to mention that earlier.

I got to see your stand tonight. It looks very nice, very big. I think you'll be very pleased with it. Definately amazing.

great tank. That sump is insane!! And BTW, the stand and canopy are totally sweet. That looks like really A++ work.

That setup is battle ready !!! Intense !!! I will now go back to my humble 25 gallon reef :) Good job and thanks for the slide show !!

OZONE

OZONE

the only troubles I've ever had with ozone is it reacting with different types of plastics and breaking them down. Kind of like UV. Keep an eye out for anything in that loop getting mushy or brittle.
We haven't seen your returns in your set up... Ocean's motions as well as wave box? Or just hard returns through the back?
Looks like you've spent as much as i paid in last years taxes on this baby. VERY NICE!
Maybe the kids don't really NEED that private school...

For the tank i am using 2 tunze 6200 streams and 2 pan world pumps a 150ps and a 100px-x both will give me 1000 GPH, more than enough total flow for the tank.... plus the wavebox.

Thats the nice thing about being 28 with no kids, can spend the money on toys.. that day will soon end though.:sad2: ;)

Sweet tank! Where did you get the hoses you used? Are they more flexable then Spaflex? Why three different type hoses?

I am also using 3 types of hose on the tank to help reduce vibration i didnt like the look or flex of spaflex. Left Kanaflex Middle Tigerflex and right is Tygon Silicon hose
