i had those but the habd part is real thick and it is hard to feel what you are grabbing.. and dont let water get in... boy those think REEK....

mine leaked pretty bad after about a month. I got the set I posted earlier and they are awesome. feel great and don't feel as thick on the fingers as the coralife ones. Had them about 3 months now. No water inside and I rarely sweat in them too. I love them.

How about left and right?;)

Gabe post some new pics....want to see the achilles...

Hey can you believe I overfed my powder blue tang and he died? Aint that some ishhh....i was trying to be like you.....again.:o

Gabe,
thought you might want to know this...

I ended up buying the Tiger Shark magnet and it works great. I put that 100 micron piece in between the already safe acrylic pad that it comes with and it's doing a great job and not scratching at all.

It's $90 but well worth it in my opinion.

yeah

I have one too and it works well. Are you guys using 100 micron filter material on your magnets?

gorgeous tank!

are you sure they are a "mated" pair? Crosshatches aren't found in pairs in nature, so obtaining an actual "mated" pair is near impossible. they are found in school actually with a few males dominating multiple females (10+). beautiful male though. He has some very nice coloring. :)

yeah thats looks awesome
after i saw how you and most other people set up there tanks i wonder how anything even lives in my tank

Say, Gabriel nice 300!
Love the cabinet work and the aquascaping. Ill be stealing some advice off your thread for my 300.

Im in plumbing stage. Not my favorite part of the whole thing but a few good threads like your answers alot of questions and puts alot of foresight into the plan.

Just curious about getting a comprehensive list of inhab's for a few ideas.
Inverts, crabs, whatever you got swimming around in there.
Triggers really stand out, love them!

biggest thing about a large tank is making it so that it is easy to do maintance... no one wants to lug 5 gallon jugs around.. and with my set up i dont..

as far as fish and inverts go i have

pair of crosshatch triggers
1 yellow tang
1 purple tang
1 naso tang
1 achilles tang
1 other tang (cant remember the name yellow with dark eyes)
1 midas blendy
2 percs
1 clarky clown
2 black clowns
1 midas blendy
1 fridmani psyudo
1 6 line wrasse
1 banded pipe fish
pair of square box anthias
1 fancy bicolor anthias
1 copperband
1 foxface
1 chromis( used to be a school of 10 )

critters
100 astrea (more now that they breed in my tank)
100 certh snails
50 blue leg hermits
6 emerald crabs
4 urchins
1 banded coal shrimp
1 blood red fire shrimp

i think... lol there may be something that i am missing... lol

Great Scott man, Thats a healthy wad of stuff you got there.

Your list is pretty comprehensive to say the least. And you didnt mention the corals to boot.
I guess 2 skimmers alot you more of a bioload though.

Maintance is the reason for my tank change now.
I hate it. Im doing exactly what you stated "Lugging 5 gal pails". I been lugging for 5 years now and My back cant take it anymore.
This tank im doing will be easily maintained or by my standards why bother at all.

Ive pretty much gotta be able to have it be capapbhle of self maintance since I travel extensively and my wife is clueless of the whole affair.

So with that said Its heavily automated. All dosing, feeding, top off and lighting is taken care of. Just the coraline and the occasional filter sock, skim, and salt spray which is minimal by anyones standards including my own.

If we did nothing but look at the tank that would be boring too right?

i do have a lot of fish.. i am actually going to add some more anthias and maybe a few more wrasses to the tank...

very true about enjoying the tank.. the easier the tank is to take care of the more you enjoy it...

and as far as skimmate goes i honestly i dont get skimmate anymore.. i have since taken the Barr Sk1220 offline and only run the Deltec now.. thanks to Zeo i dont have to worry about overfeeding and such.. as i feed pretty heavy...

ok here are some new pics.. please forgive the crappyness.. i am not a photographer.. lol
the two on the ends are my favorite.. just got them last week
