PS. How did you break 2 Hayward bulkheads??? I wonder if they weren't up to snuff? It seems unlikely that you could do that so easily.

What are so special about Hayward bulkheads ?? I have never heard of them until now...

LOL it nice being single but i would like to have someone to share this tank with.. all in due time i am in no rush

i dont know i broke 2 haywards... they are supposed to be "the best" made Sch 80 and all i think i put to much liquid teflon tape and it expanded causing the bulkheads to break... i was PO believe me:mad2:

They have a thick Teflon seal and are Sch 80. James at Envision told me about them they are the only ones he recommends they sell them at Aquatic eco from what i have heard and what Steve at SoCal said when he saw them they are more than tough.. wont leak

It's awesome when you find the love of your life and you both share everything... My wife is not a reef freak like me, but she does like the tank(s)... I ask her for her input on things she likes and I make sure that those things are in the tank so that we both enjoy the hobby :)

For the teflon tape you only need like 2 or 3 good wraps and you should be good...

WOW those do look nice, a little exp, I mean sched 80 are about twice as much as crap sched 40 BH, but those look to be about twice as much as the sched 80s I get from Savko and those are pretty darn nice...

liquid teflon? what's wrong with teflon tape? LOL...I had two leaking fittings because I used "heavy duty" teflon tape!:D

For those of you who haven't seen a Hayward BH, here's a couple of pics of the 3" ones I am using for my skimmer!

Those look very nice... I will stick to my Savko ones :)

Most of what I get is from Savko, but the 3" ones were cheaper from US Plastics. In fact, I am not sure Savko even had 3" BHs. Anyway, the US Plastics Hayward BHs were 1/3 less cost than from other suppliers!

James supplied me with the same AquaticEco bulkheads. I have 10 on the main tank and all sealed nice with no teflon tape needed at all. :)

James builds tanks Envisionacrylics.com(he is the owner) .. he sells bulkheads that he buys from Aquaticeco.com. He does it to full service his customers....
