Gamma Reef ...Sps From Brazil

What an amazing tank. You have done an incredible job. I have really been debating whether or not my next tank will run LEDs--this tank alone has almost converted me.

Hi Daniel,
Beautiful reef tank.
I have a few questions if you don't mind:
What are the dimensions of your heat sink?
How far apart are your LED's?
And what are the dimensions of your tank?
Thanks,
Martin

Thank you Jason, I´m happy to know that my reef helps you to decide.

Hi Martin...I´m really sorry for delay to answer your questions.

1- 65 x 22 cm
2- 5,5 cm between the leds in the same line...and 7cm between leds in the same colum.
3- 100 x 40 x 50 cm (40 x 18 x 10 inches)

Again...I´m sorry for delay...

wow!!! awesome..
i just posted a thread asking for amazing shots of LED driven spa tanks and they were right under my nose..
really impressive!!

wow!! Daniel really amazing..
i just posted a thread asking for really impressive sps shots under LED and here they are.
I'm becoming an LED believer..

Very nice tank and even more impressive coral coloration.

But I do have a question regarding your skimmer,
I'm aware that a lot of manufactures over rate their skimmers but you are using a skimmer rated for Aquariums: 1,000 - 3,000 liters (266 - 800 gal.) on a 60 gal tank.
What's the purpose of that?

just went trough the whole thread and i am wondering what your fish load is like, considering you don't use any gfo and what kind of water changes you do?
again, very nice coloration and a nice simple set up.
also, what do you use for flow in the tank?

Thank you Matt...led works I swear :-)

Hey Snootch...thank you

There is 4 reason to such ultraskim...

1- I bought a skimmer that can be used in larger systems. I will change to a larger reef in this year!

2- I like to feed really heavy ....and I have two tangs growing here...It seems absurd but I have to clean 2-3 times a week...a very disgusting skimate

3- I´m a vodka doser and i like to keep my orp and O2 concentration as high as possible...two big pumps with huge air intake help a lot

4- The price was great ;-)

Hey Matt...

I´m using GFO right now...:-)

I have one MP40w and two koralias 750gph to keep my circulation as strong as possible :-)

Thank you again for your kind words.

Thanks for the reply Daniel,
You've found a nice balance between intensity and spread with your lighting, and your corals look great.
Love the nice, simple, effective set up.
Thanks for sharing.

Thank you 1000...

Yes Noob... time to upgrade!!!!

I´m thinking in something like: 1,40 x 60 x 40 cm....I will try a shallow tank this time!!!! BBsystem, led lighting, sps only....

I just need some money to do that .....just a tiny detail :-)

Best regards...

Hi Dany,

:D yes that tiny detail is the biggest tiny detail lol.
And very excited to hear about your upgrade. :)
My new build is gonna be 165 long x 60cm wide x 50cm high quite close to ur new tank dimensions.
Do kindly take a look for the renders on my thread.

I would be grateful to have your opinions and suggestions. And things you are planning to improve/change or gonna do different on your new system.

Thanks in advance bro :)

Whoa! Simply beuatiful my friend! Your success with LEDs is among the best that I have seen. Your colors and growth are outstanding! Nice job on getting rid of the AEFW's too. I'm happy to be subscribed...

This is a very, very nice reeftank! Colors look great! I'm thinking about switching to a diy led system and with such examples it's a lot less dificult to make the switch. Is there any chance you can make a short videoclip of your reeftank. I'm very curious to see how it looks.

Hi Wsx....thank you!!!

I don´t have a video cam but I´ll try to solve this problem sooner!

Thanks again....

Thats to bad to hear, no chance of making a small video with your cellphone?

I hear a lot off people talking about a discoball effect when they have the leds spread evenly above the tank.

Do you have that problem also?
