gaping mouth

First let me say, sorry for any mistakes I make spelling.....I have two children (one of which is 5 months and doesn't like to see mommy having her own time) so my time on the computer is limited. I type fast and if I take the time to look up words that I am not sure of I end up running out of time and deleting the post.

I have had my eye on a green haddoni anemone. The LFS just got it in. I fist saw it on friday (believe it came in on wednesday). They said it just ate a feeder goldfish. It's foot and colum look great, it has attached. But it's mouth is open and I can see inside. Nothing is coming out. I went and checked on it today and the mouth seems the same. I asked them to feed it and it wouldn't take food. It seemed to hold the mysid shrimp for a moment then the tenacals retracted and the shrimp fell. Anyway I understand that is not unusual during acclimation, but how long should it take to settle in? I'd like to go back and check on it and if the mouth looks better I'd put a hold on it, but i'd like to know after how many days with a gaping mouth I should wait before looking elsewhere?

Sounds like stress and acclimation issues to me. I would definately like to see the mouth closed and see it take food before a purchase.
