Gate Valves

I know probably most of you have done a gate valve mod. So where can I get a gate valve locally?

What parts, besides the gate valve are required? Just some 1&1/2 inch PVC, a Tee, and an Elbow?

sounds like you got it to me.. What skimmer are you putting this on?

Do you have the gate valve or do you need to order?

They are not very common locally. I looked at about 6 places with no luck. I got mine on line. I think the company was US Plastics.

I need to order. Steve, I must have deleted the email, or else I am blind.

How bad is it that I still have the one I sent you about he skimmer, but don't have your reply?!? Doh.....

I got mine from US Plastics too. They ship quick and have just about every size.

I found one place locally that could special order one for me but they wanted $75.

This was the conversation Howie.

Kentrob11 is the master of Mesh wheels, he might have extra mesh material. I don't have any and don't know where to order it from.

Kentrob also has quite the thread going on in the DIY forum about the mesh wheels. If I can find another impeller, I will be very interested in doing that mod too.

I have a GenX pump that was meshed by Kent as a feed pump for the G3 now...if I can quote here..."It Friggin Rocks!!!" I may actually have too much air in the G3 now...I am going to throttle the venturi down a little and see if she has a sweet spot.

Custom Aquatics lists the Sedra replacement impellers. They are not the Euro Reef needle wheel types, but I figure they will work for the mesh wheel mod.

$21.95 I think for the KSP3500 impeller.

if you have a sedra 3500 replace the pump with a GenX pump, the 3500 is a weak pump and the GenX needlewheel is not that much more money.
