Gauging Interest - GFO Group Buy?

We have started a BRS Group Buy thread. This means that each person interested in purchasing GFO and/or Carbon can purchase it themselves at the discounted rate. Thread is here: http://forums.marineaquarist.org/index.php?tid=57

There would be additional cost savings if we still purchased in the larger quantities for Carbon and GFO. Best pricing on Carbon would be $4.40/lb (15 pounds ordered). Best pricing on GFO would be $12.05/lb (22.5 pounds ordered).

If we chose to order in the larger quantity, everyone needs to agree on the pellet size of carbon and GFO. I would like the pellet size of Carbon, and Granule size of GFO, but may reconsider based on everyone else's preference.

update list?
tuanthoakhoi GFO (3) Carbon (5)
reefer334 GFO (3)
Rybo GFO (2)
mikid GFO (2)
2a373 GFO (2)
Justin74 GFO (2)
FishGuy5 GFO (2) Carbon (3)
ReefnAv GFO (2).

This puts us at 18 lbs for GFO and 8 lbs Carbon.

Jeff, it looks like the order would be via the BRS Group Buy.

Count me out. Excuse my attitude, but this has taken WAY to long to happen, and just about when it starts to take off you guys are changing the rules! Very frustrating:rolleyes:

My position is, this started on RC by us RC users cuz we needed GFO, not to accomodate the rest of the club pending a club announcement.. To me this thread is a real chain jerker with too many chiefs and not enough indians.

I love you guys but Im done! :p

Such is life, eh? I lost a fair number of fish in my QT today due to someone not turning the AC on before leaving the house today. I've been in a super funk all night. My house was over 86 degrees when I got home tonight at 8pm. Thought it was best to stay off RC for the most part. Didn't mean to jump on you Justin. Doug set me off the other day and I've yet to cool my heels enough.

No, no the truth has been spoken thus far I can't deny:thumbsup:

I have been drinking alot more water than I normally do to..:hmm:

Here's a bit of trivia I was talkin to Joel about yesterday..

Did you know, that local studies on men that lived in metropolitan areas that drank municipal tap were shown to have much higher levels of estrogen than men that live in rural areas, or on private wells? Now think of all the colorful ways estrogen could possibly get into our municipal water...um, yuck?

Now here's a joke to lightin up my stink:

Did you know that people living around the local cemetary off of Elkhorn Blvd can not be burried there?

..........Why?

Because their still ALIVE!!!!! :p

I went ahead and purchased a couple of pounds because my tank was in need of a fix and it looked like the GB wasn't going through. I will still honor my 2lbs when the buy finally goes through. I will use it eventually (or someone else will need it)...LMK
