If small enough and under 2 lbs, the post office makes it really easy to mail small things out.

mailing some 40 refractometers( if everybody gets in ) is crazy... you are really asking alot from the person doing a group buy here....

I checked pricing Marine Depot has it for $49.99 + $7.99 shipping: $57.98 total.

Live Aquaria has them on sale for $42.99 + $9.99 Shipping: $52.98.

It really depends how far 90241 is from where you at. If you are driving to my house Riverside seems to be the farthest. 100 miles round trip, figuring 20 mpg would be about 5 gallons x $3.50: comes out to $17.50 in gas. The refractometer would end up costing $25 +1.03 paypal +$17.50 gas: $43.53 total. Savings would be $9.45. Unless one person makes the trip for a couple of people and people split the money on gas.

The box weighs about 1lb 2 oz. I can get a business account with fed ex through my bakery. All the refractometers for san diego will be delivered at their frag swap so it would leave 22 to ship to Reef Central members. Fed ex had a special for signing up online, I thinkthey give 10% off of all shipping if I ship using the online service and drop off the packages pre-labled. I can get quotes, if everyone can put their address on the paypal to get estimates that wants it shipped. Also I can look into USPS can easily be under $6 of the package is small enough.

Hey Gabriel, you think you can get a discount on shipping? Maybe everyone can pitch in a dollar that wants it shipped and you get yourself a free refractometer.

I think the best way to ship will be USPS. Depending on zip code for a package under 2lbs it's as low as $4.20 and as high as $6.05.

i do get a discount i can fedex 1 to anyone i so cal for $5 flat, thats the base rate for fedex discounts... the bigger and heaver the box the more expensive the price is.. but you will never get a discount this low as a customer.

Anybody in a hurry for the refractometer? If we order 100 we get them for $23. Paypal total would be $23.97. We are short 44 units. Everyone can start sending the money through paypal to rbdesigns@mac.com . Cut off is Sunday night. So I can place the order monday morning.

Until we reach 100 it's $23. Right now it's 25 +1.03 paypal: Total $26.03. If we happen to reach the 100 I will send a refund to everyone for the difference.

It seems a complicated though. Let's wait to get close to 100 for everyone to send the money. I think we can get 100 by thursday.
