You know, I don't think this thing should be that much of a pain for anybody. I was thinking that one person be designated "per group" to pick up and distribute them. The HD can have one person, LA another, etc. Joe Blow picks them up, then they are distributed at the next club meeting of Joe's.

Although he was kind enough to offer to ship, I personally would like to limit his investment of time into this. If I have to drive down and pick them up for my group, then so be it. AFAIC, that's what people in a community do... They help each other out.

I think that asking this much of him is taking advantage of his generosity, whether he seems willing to do it or not.

BTW I thought I would clarify (I hate afterthoughts...):

For those who are REALLY far away, certainly, shipping makes sense. But for those of us who are rather close geographically there isn't that great of an excuse.

Gabriel - I know what you are thinking...I was wondering out loud if I could help.

rbdesigns - USPS is the way to go. They'll ship you the boxes for free and it costs about $4. Its always great to meet RC people, but 100 folks at your house? Yikes...

Thanks for the tip Jeffrey. I think USPS is the way to go to, local people will probably get it the next day, out of state 2 or 3 days. I will update the list in an hour or so. We have 72 refractometers, only 28 to go to get them for $23. When we reach 90, I will buy the other 10 to close the group buy. Afterwards if anyone missed out they can contact me to purchase the remaining refractometers at the same price.
