GBTA dying?

about six months ago we got a GBTA. it was doing great for a long time. the day we brought it home it split, then it started eating good and getting big. we got a new tank, cycled, moved everything over. since then it doesnt seem happy. at first it was okay, then i decided to trade in my maroon and it went down hill from there. now it pretty much has no tenticles and wont stop moving all over the tank. it wont eat. completly deep tan. in fact, right now, it has attached itself to a very angry hermit crab that is despratly trying to get away. does it have any hope? water parems are all normal, i do have stock lighting on a bio but that lighting is higher than the tank it was 'raised' in when i had gotten it. ive asked every LFS i can think of an no one knows why its doing so crappy. help!

so ive been reading around and think i found out that its starved, although im not sure why he stopped eating. so, how can i 'force' feed him without hurting him? the site i found said thats what needs to be done but then just says dont do it unless you know what your doing, but doesnt say how haha. after about an hour or so i did manage to get him to take a teeny tiny piece of silver side but surley there is an easier/less time consuming way than to hold it in front of his mouth until he FINALLY eats it.

Could you list your water parameters? Pics?

You said it ate a small piece of silverside, that's good. I would say just keep doing that every day or so and it will hopefully start taking the food more quickly and become stickier so it doesn't take long for you to feed it.

water parems are
nitrate 0
ammonia 0
nitite 0
ph 8.0
phosphate 0
i know im forgetting one but cant think of it...
sg is 1.025-.026
temp is 78

now im more worried because he kind of spat it out and is now just a huge hole with a piece of fish sticking in it. im watching him for signs of death because i dont want to risk my whole tank over it. just not sure when to call it quits, ive seen so many things make such amazing come backs since ive started the hobby. he is still moving, trying to pull himself up on the rock but isnt making much progress. i told the anemone crab to hit the old dusty trail because he seemed to be weighing him down (plus he kept trying to literally shove the silverside down the anemones...hole.)
