Had my gbta for about 4 months now when i got him he was about 3 inches about two weeks after that he grew to nice 8 inches. then last week he started to shrink up to his 3 inches again i did a water test for
amm 0
nitrates 0
ph 8.4 (which has always been like that )
salinty 2.022
temp has did rise to about 82 over the weekend it got hott here so i put some ice in gallon bags which cooled it off but right now its 78
just did a water change today about 11 gallons in my 55 tank any ideas

"salinty 2.022" I am assuming that the first "2" is a typo and is really a 1. But, the ".022" part is low, should keep the salinity around 1.025-1.026.

Normally 82* would be a big deal, all of my tanks hit 83* each day, but do you normally keep your temp at 78* with no swing? If the answer is yes, that could be part of the issue.

ok i got the salinity up to 1.025 right now and the temp goes from 78 to 82 i stopped cooling off with ice. i dont see anything bothering him. how long does it take an anenome usually to recover?

oh crap ok so i left for two days left my mom in charge and now i did a retest of my chem and there is a .50 ammonia spike i already checked yesterday for dead stuff i found two sails for chopped up right now im thinking either get the anenome out in another that thats set up for 8 months now but 30 gallon. it has two clowns in it. Then do i have to destroy everything to find anything esle dead becasue i know there is a choco star fish someplace i have not seen. last do another big water change any suggestions
