gen 1 fan replacement

I understand that there's a video to help out with removing these glued in fans from the frame. Can someone please share that video? Thanks

I noticed that the new fan doesn't have that big bulge with a capacitor and diode covered with heat shrink. Does the new fans not require them?

this is what I'm talking about... This fan cord has the capacitor and diode (wrapped in shrink wrap), and in the video the fans don't have them. are they needed?

That is correct, only older style Radions require the fan to have a capacitor.
