dendronepthya, your going to love those 12' dia skimmers. I've seen one of GEO's 12" skimmer's working on a 300g tub filled with curing live rock and the foam head was the size of a basketball.:eek1:

After spending a small fortune on plumbing parts for my aquaculture tanks, I have developed a very deep appreciation for high quality PVC parts. When I saw the massive unions on these skimmers, I was blown away. That union on my skimmers are probably 6" unions. I didn't even think they made unions that large. I thought I was seeing the bigfoot of the plumbing world.

Thanks Moonpod.

Off topic here, but on your web site on your tank, did I read that right that you have 4 Streams in your 180?

yes. I like flow. I am also redoing my plumbing to "open up" the flow I get from my sequence. Currently it is choked off fairly severely.

I have one of George's old dual stage Ca reactors running on my 120..I've never had a problem with it, at all..never..its kind of a pain to open up but I only have to do it once evey 6 months so its no biggie.

I also have\had his first even Kalk reactor...It was small, simple but did a great job.

I love the Geo REactor and skimmer. The skimmer is 36x8 needlewheel purchased directly from the man. The reactor was bought at www.premiumaquatics.com...cant remember the exact measurements. Holds 16lbs of ARM though. I love my geos. Does he sell sumps i guess nanook?

I couldn't say enough good things about the workmanship of this guy's products. Definately blows the pants off some other manufacturers with "clubs" here in RC too.

I have a custom Ca reactor, which I believe it was the first or second he made that big. It is a 8" diamter and 36" tall with a little giant pump for recirculation. It works like a beast and I am yet to have any issues whatsoever with it. It works great from day one. Dialing in that reactor took me less than a week. Everytime you made a change it would only take 3 hours to equilibrate. I am telling you, I could not say enough good things about it. It takes about 50 lb of media or about an entire bucket of the 200g of salt of IO.

I have a custom kalk reactor as well. It is 8" diameter and 24" tall. Works like a charm. After having the 2 different versions of the other manufacturer's magnetic stirer design, I can now see how a real kalk reactor is supposed to work. My god, I should have gotten it from the very begining and save myself money and headaches.

I will also shortly order 2 different custom media reactors, one for carbon and the other for phosphate removing media. I may end up ordering a needle wheel skimmer too like Dendronephthia, but with 6 pumps instead. That last one I haven't decided for sure, but I can gurantee you the cost is so much less than the equivalent version of H&S or Deltec.

I've been a long time member of the GEO club since 2000. To date i've owned 2 of his calcium reactors and 1 of his kalkwasser reactors. Geo is awesome.

I have one of his Calcium reactors, A Kalc Reactor and He is building a skimmer to replace the Aqua C EV1000 I have right now.. after seeing how well his stuff is built, How well he treats people, and of course how much better his stuff works.. I see no option other than his stuff.. he is also building me a sump right now... cant wait to get the skimmer and the sump... just when you think he cant build something anybetter.. he does it again...

I had the honor of purchasing his very 1st calcium reactor long ago. Boy, has he come a long way since then! George is without a doubt, the kindest, most forgiving reefer there ever was. I have had broken reactors, due to my negligence, fixed by him, free of charge. His service is incredible!

yes..i am working with him now on a custom sump. I am planing on it being a three chambered sump..one for filtration, one for a refugium and one for a grow-out chamber
