Get in my belly! [Bangaii babies in males mouth]

how old should they be before i move them over to my DT with the other Bangaii's? I have 7 adults in the DT currently. 450g, so they shouldn't be overly territorial.

pretty awesome there... my son keeps bugging me about adding a female.. but i just dont like the fish that much to add another.. and im not sure the large male wont kill it if added.
but he is persistent he brings it up just about weekly for the past year... so you never know, just so i dont have to keep hearing about it. haha

I have a pair in my 130g tank. The male released the babies 2 weeks ago, and 3 or 4 of them made it to the overflow-chamber. They have been living there since and I don't feed them actively.

I bought smaller frosen food and feed the tank 2-3 times a week with that and the babies seem to be eating and growing :)

The challenge, if they continue to grow, will be to catch them in the chamber ;)

I think it's more size dependent than age dependant. How big are they? I think my current batch is 3 months old or so and they would fit on a nickel fins and all.

My main concern is larger fish thinking that they are food. I'm waiting until the bodies (no fins) are at least penny size before I think about transferring them anywhere.

What are you feeing them now? I was using frozen bbs, but now am feeding Reef Nutrition ROE and Arctipods in addition to the bbs. I need to feed more often but I've been working so much I haven't been home enough to feed more than 2x a day.

They get Rod's Food, PE Mysis and Cyclopeeze. They are in my sump so get passing food and I also direct feed them once a day. They seem content and are growing pretty quick. I will likely keep them in there until they are 1" minimum.
