getting my clowns to breed

Hi all. Just been reading, learning and looking through all these threads. Wow theres alot of cool stuff going on here. Anyway I have this pair of clowns I bought like 20 months ago. One is twice the size of the other.(I take it that one is the female). They seem very content with each other. Spend all ther time with each other to. Why will they not breed? Is there anything i can do to help them along. I did just add a anemone. Hopeing that would help but they act like it doesn't even exist. Very depressing. Any help would be nice thanks.

20 questions first:

Tank temp?
Diet?
Frequency of feedings?
Length of light cycle?
Other tank mates?

temp is 78 to 80
Diet is fozen brine shrimp with Ocean nutritions prime reef, some time i feed vitimins with that. And some times i feed ON formula 1 and 2. i feed 1 or 2 times a day.
Lights are on for 12 hours MH are on for 8.
Other mates would be,9 green chromis, sally crab(clowns dont like her), yellow tang, 10 cleaner shrimp, hemits blue red, sea cow, nudibranch, cucumber, white sand star and sea star. 6 corals lots a snails. oh and flaming scallop.
Now most of these guys were put in recently.

Light cycle looks good, but temp is low and nutrition is marginal for breeding. I suggest increasing temp to 80-82F, feeding at least twice daily and eliminating the brine shrimp in favor of Formula 2 frozen.

If that doesn't work in a few months, try simulating a plankton bloom, via the instructions in the Clownfish forum.

Hmmm..., if they are in the 225 with 300 lbs LR & 10 cleaner shrimp + hermit crabs + snails I have to wonder... what makes you think they aren't spawning? What species? If oc or perc maybe they just don't have a chance at defending the nest with so many predators about? And with that much space & rock maybe you just don't see the nest? Just a thought :)

I tell ya that is a good thought! I have been thinking that myself. Im was a little out on the rock. Sorry theres just over 200 lbs. My wife corrected me on that one but it was to late. Im watching real close now and if they breed ill catchem. Thanks for the info. I need all the help i can get. It would make my day to see these two clowns breed. Oh buy the way there the OC type (Nemo). Ill get soom pics out one of these days. good luck to all.
