GF check valves

GF= Georg Fischer. Very nice, very $$!

To answer Neon, your best bets might be either Wyatt Irrigation in SR and Harmony Farm Supply in Graton. I'd consider both a long shot.

Thanks John. I think thats the kind I'm using but its been so long a didnt remember. Tanks been up and running for almost 9 years now. LoL

haha guess Grant thought he meant girlfriend check valves.... i wonder how those would work, maybe like some kind of chastity belt :deadhorse: i was able to find some bulkheads but not the same kind and way more expensive.... maybe i will also check those places out i need some bulkheads for a pond filter i am building.

I usually just drill a small hole on the return spigot, so that the siphon breaks when the power shuts off. This has worked well in the past on my other systems. However, the 210g to sump's drop is rought 4' and the suction was much greater and it proceeded to siphon in about 8g water into the sump.
GF (George Fisher) Check Value seemed like a good alternative. it is supposed to be easier to clean and lasts a lot longer than the standard check valve.
At the momment, I just widened the hole and now the siphon shuts off with less than a 2g to the sump.
