Reactors are from Synergy, I bought them locally through Paul @ highdefcorals. PM me if you need his contact info he is here in NW OKC.
I am having a dosing container built as of now and I already have 2 dosers installed under the tank on the back board above the Return pump. I need to add a 3rd and possibly 4th for other options. I have an Apex that will fit up under there as well.
The time has finally come to build the lights! Today was like Christmas morning! I received 3 of my 4 orders today and actually just submitted my 4th order today so I will have to wait a bit long for the final components. I placed my LED order with Cutter for the following LEDs.
Cree Warm white Cutter-XPG2-20STR-E7U1 Min 90 CRI
Nichia Neutral White Cutter-NVSL20-NW90 Cutter states these are 90CRI @ 5015K
Cree Cool White Cutter-XPG-2-20STRS2-CW Binned R5 1A
Cree Royal Blue Cutter-XTE20STRROY-5
Heatsink USA Order with hardware
Three 20" by 8.460" T-Slot heatsinks.
Still to come I have my RapidLed order. My rapid order will have 13 400-410nm UV and 13 410-420nm UV for LEDs. Two Meanwell SE-350-48 PSU's, and a Bluefish controller.
LED's will be run on 6 different channels.
Channel 1 RB
Channel 2 WW
Channel 3 NW
Channel 4 CW
Channel 5 UV 400-410nm
Channel 6 UV 410-420nm
Ok while waiting on my Rapid LED order I went ahead and added a few things to the sump. To cut down on noise I decided to add a reverse Durso on each drain. I could instantly tell a big difference with noise and even less micro bubbles going into the sump.
Rapid order came in! I now have the BlueFish controller!!! OMG this thing is sweet. Took all of 15 minutes to read the instructions, switch the jumpers to 5v PWM, and then use my phone to "Blinkup" program the device. The controller looks amazing and has an equally as impressive phone app. Also in my order were 3 break out boards for the BlueFish dimming cables, 13 400-410nm UV LEDs, 13 410-420nm UV LEDs, and MeanWell 350 Watt PSU's.
Time for pics.
Phone app.
LEDs tinned.
Starting to build the drivers.
I gutted a old PC power supply to house/cool the drivers and breakout boards.
Question on the Coralux 5up ldd driver boards since I've never seen them. I am actually using them with a pair of borealis luxeon array's but ordered them with the wires rather than the pins Does the 5up board work with the wired version of LDD's vs. the pin?
Also - I like the old power supply trick. That was a great idea and one I'll borrow if you don't mind
