As started to read i realized i should be making a list. So many projects so little time. I am off to home depot for bins, jugs, craft floss and boat parts. I am thinking to start with a new calcium reactor, going to buy 8 foot sections of pvc, maybe i can make an actual small ghetto of ghetto projects, i wonder if theres anyway i can use a bicycle wheel.........

jbird thats an awesome wave box! did it work well? i really dont think its too ghetto. it looks well made. at the GA aquarium they have buckets that pretty much act exactly like that and look very similar except about 200 times bigger on their main reef tank. has a really cool effect.

Yes it was very slick. I didnt keep it in action cause I felt it was just too splashy for my enclosed canopy. I have a lot of hot lights in close proximity in there and it made me uncomfortable. It is a simple DIY and I believe would be extremely effective in the right tank. It IS the quintessential wave effect.
