pbetito set my wheels turnin' on sump/'fuge configs.

All'y'all with DIY pride: Show us your ghetto sumps!

Rubbermaid tub/stock tank, plastic bucket, poly drum, glass urn, vinyl bladder, old laboratory vessel, old ceramic kitchen sink, grandma's giant blown glass sculpture...

Whatever you use for a sump that is not professionally built or originally designed to be a sump.

Thanks for the link. I lost my concentration on page 2 though cuz everybody was baggin' on the dude. Harshed my mellow before I committed to getting to page 16.

Anybody willing to throw up a simple pic and some comments on their rig?

hahah... you guys at the BAR will never let this die down. None the less it was funny looking at the posts. In one of posts someone puts the blame of the whole NE side of america on that guy!

Mines half and half I guess:
Originally it was a sump underneath the cabinet with bioballs.
I put the sump in the basement and added a refugium. I am using a mag3600 because of 9 feet of head; this still empties about 20 times an hour.
The refug is made out of a 30 gal plastic tote.
I tap into the main sump for the house--what a breeze to do water changes. I still have my r/0 unit upstairs--that this month project to bring it down and get an automatic stop off.
I also brought the ballasts down stairs too--this also helped with heat fluctuations I was having. With 60 gal open to cool basement air the temp stays at 79.3 with only plus or minus .5
