GHL/Generic PH Probe

I recently purchased a ProfiLux 3 eX Mega-Set. It was shipped to me with a generic blue ph probe. I was told that's the standard ph probe that ships with the ProfiLux 3 eX Mega-Set. It felt a bit misleading considering all the images of the ProfiLux 3 eX Mega-Set show the black GHL ph probe & that's what I expected to be in the shipment.

Loving my profilux, it's just I feel you should clearly set expectations about the contents of a kit. It felt like a bit of bait and switch IMHO.

What are the differences between the generic blue ph probe and the black GHL one?

In the USA to keep the price down the GHL pH probes are removed and the price is brought down byt $100 way more than the cost of the probe, you then can upgrade on purchase to the GHL probe if you so choose.

If we included the GHL probe you would pay more for the kit, so we put in a trusted good pH probe that is supplied for free, then at a later date you can switch up to the GHL probe

Its all about keeping the product as affordable as possible.
