At this point, not entirely sure. But a mix of SPS, LPS, an assortment of fish, and maybe a ray.

But for now, I'm wanting to simply setup the tank with just enough fish (or amomium) to cycle it and get things growing. Then add corals, but only after coraline, etc has started to grow.

I know I wan to use the Mitras lamps but uncertain if 1 will be enough for what I need to do right now. From what Ive heard, I will end up needing 3 based on physical size of tank (72x27,24)

two is sufficient for mixed reef, 3 will give you flexibility with coral placement in regards to SPS

balloonpilot does your tank have a single cross brace or 2? For some people it doesn't matter but with 2 cross braces you'll have some shadowing with just 2 units. It's possible you won't see it due to the amazing spread of the Mitras but it is something to take into consideration.

Worse case you could start with (2) units and add a 3rd later if you see it's needed.

I have been trying. Not getting a lot of response from the ghl community so far.

I use Rodneyri's old program and have just made small adaptations to it to suit my tastes. Nothing radical enough to warrant uploading a file.

mon bac fait 130/100/60

j'ai tué mon aquarium à cause des mitras.

j'ai mis trop de lumiere et quand j'ai vu que les pointes des coraux devenez blanc et sans polypes, j'ai pas vu que c'etait à cause des mitras .

quand j'ai vu, c'etait trop tard, j'ai perdu tout mes sps .

actuellement le bac est vide, je vais le refaire, donc attention à ne pas bruler vos coraux.

I killed my aquarium because of mitras.

I put too much light and when I saw that the tips of corals become white and without polyps, I have not seen that it was because of mitras.

when I saw it was too late, I lost all my sps.

currently it is empty, I'll do it again, so be careful not to burn your corals.

What does your project look like? Can you upload it for us to see? Also were you running at 100% high efficancy or high output?

Can anyone help with the moon simulation? Like I don't no what to set it at and for how long what percent times ETC

Great growth, but some of them look a little on the pale side I think your giving them too much light. What are you running your mitras at?

They are not pale at all it's just the crappy I phone and the light being very white. Vs some of the shots being taken under attinic lighting rather than full day light

Yup I know the feeling. The blue light sure does make Sps glow.
