Purple edges now coming back

that realy looks good also took a reading from my P3 at night just running royal blues and it is 0.10 amp at the socket. also my temp that I graph has leveled rather than swing up and down ph seems to also level off and same with redox. I do not know what this means but I hope this is a good thing..

Anybody want to buy a brand new 60" 8x80 ATI T5 unit? I need the money for the Mitras I have decided to buy.

I think you'll be pleasantly THRILLED with a Mitras :)

I personally think you have an amazing tank and that the Mitras will take it to a whole new level of OMG!!

It's going to have to happen over time. My budget for the build is pretty stretched as is so another 3K is too big a hit right now.

I have to say that there is something I am noticing in every picture that a lot of people seem to miss about the Mitras. Maybe it's because as a photographer I am constantly looking at light and it's varying qualities.
The big thing I see with other LED units is the extreme contrast between lit surfaces and those in shadow. With the Mitras the light seems to be a lot more diffuse and you get a lot more bounce so the bottoms of surfaces receive a fair amount of light as well.

We have one user using Mitras to a depth of 48" no reports as yet of light issues as the bottom of the tank, so I think your findings sound very accurate.

Bought 2 mitras for 38"x16"x22" tank. Overkill?

The dealer recommended me 2, even though I thought 1 would be enough. Is this overkill for my tank?

Sorry my measuring tape was made in China..the dimensions are 121cmx41cmx56cm. Are two ok?

I'm drooling just reading all the positive feedback. I am planning a 48x48x24 cube. Would I be able to get away with using only 2? Maybe mounted higher?

the reason for the 2 is at you are going over by 2" what has been seen as the standard lamp to tank ratio of 36x32.

Honesty is my middle name ;) NO you will need 4 units due to the 48"x48" size tank.

48" is an expensive size unfortunately.

OK, so weird issue... Any project that I setup or load into my Mitras light has an odd issue at 18:00 or 6:00 PM. When running through the illumination test or when letting the light run its course, there is a marked decrease in the Royal Blue LED when it hits 18:00. Even when the Royal Blue LEDs are set to %100 on either side of 18:00, this happens, when there should not be any decrease in Royal Blue at all... Is anyone else having this issue? It is making my tank look less blue in the evening and is bugging me! Its very easy to reproduce. Just move back and forth over 18:00 :)

Running GHL CC 1.0.2.5 and Mitras Firmware 1.09...

Thanks!

Don

I've never noticed this Ian but now that you mention it I "think" I can see what you mean. I guess I can't see the forest for the trees sometimes :)

How did you first notice this? Is your display also showing the decrease in RB? While I haven't noticed this with my lights I'll check tomorrow and report back.

I first noticed it while testing the illumination run and then watched it the next day and at 6:00 PM there was a sharp drop in Royal Blue even when running the program live.

It is driving me nuts :)

Well... I thought it wasn't... But I double checked it and it somehow was checked! I then tested it and the "issue" went away! It makes sense as the start of the moon simulation time was, you guessed it, 6:00 PM. At least this was explainable and if anyone else runs into this, hopefully this page can help!

Thanks again!

Don

Is that light Chanel ticked for moonlight?
