What is the percent of each led you guys are running ? I am not that happy with the color on my tank.i wanna see it more blue but I have to dim all other LEDs to 8-15 percent.then what is the purpose of them if they are beryl on. Need your opinion

Thanks

Hi
if you want to achieve a more blue light (higher Kelvin) and you already have the violet, blue and cool white at max. then you have to dim the red LEDs.
This will reduce the light output in sum, of course
-> then change the max. output power to 100% and use high output mode (if not already done)

Does anyone know of a tank with GHL Mitras over it in the DC/Maryland area? I know of someone there who is looking to see one first hand and I wanted to see if anyone here is aware of one?

Here is my rail system and box...box holds the 5 units, cords, ballasts, and powerbar...there is a quad gfci on the ceiling above...the rail allows me to slide the box 6feet to either side of the tank to access the top of the tank...
I got the lights in the first shipment but got totally sidetracked...
I will be using Michael's program which is suited for a fowlr...
So, any advice to get these units and the Profilux 3 touch screen going?

Beautiful set up! Very clean and nice.
I assume there is a cut out in the box above each Mitras, so that they can properly breath?

after talking with Michael we decided to mount the way you see.
there are spacers up there- it is not mounted flush to the box.
so, there is some space between the two..maybe 1.5-2 inches...

Got it.. Tough to tell in the photo.
Super nice.
Can't wait to see that baby filled with livestock...
Just cycling my tank now so I know how excited you must be to get to the next stage..

Thank you, I really appreciate that...
the tank has fish...2 small clarions, cortez, trigs- outrigger, cinereus, lunula, assassi, small huma, and small bursa...there is a very small interrupta in the fuge...really need to clean the acrylic and takes some new pics...

my 250 qt has 2 bandits, small interrupta, tiny regal, tiny goldflake...
my 125 qt has 2 tiny jocs and a mated pair of flamebacks...

and 1 very special fish is due in a few weeks...
may try corals but with this group of fish....:worried2::worried2:

Looks like a beautiful fish room.
That's quite a collection!
You'll definitely have to post some shots of the whole tank clean and all lit up!

will do...there are pics in my build thread...130 x 36 x 36 inbound...though I sold about a dozen fish a few weeks ago...

Thanks for sharing!! That's amazing :)

Thanks...there was none of the greenish tint when I bought it and it looks amazing now.

I also just accidentally purchased another small frag of red planet a couple weeks ago as part of a frag pack from a local reefer that's been running these lights:

"Sfiligoi with 2x400w Radiums, 4 xT5s ( 2 Fiji purple , 2ATI blue +), all T-5s dimmable by Profilux"

Very shocked that the frag has not a hint of green in it...just solid purple. It's a gorgeous frag nonetheless. He's an amazing reefer and I'm definitely not trash talking/knocking him. Just amazed. Placed it in a different spot toward the back of the tank toward a corner to do a little experiment to see if it colors up as beautifully as this one toward the sides of the tank under the Mitras.

MGE I look forward to seeing some progress shots of it.

How's your tank doing in general? I'm glad to see you back and posting again :)

Will do. Going to try to grab a pic of the "experiment frag" tomorrow.

Don't want to go off topic on this thread...I posted updates/details/questions to my thread. All of my SPS, etc. new and old are doing amazing under the Mitras. It's just that I've been having issues with 4 maricultured pieces unrelated to lighting. :(
