IT DOESNT WORK ON MAC!!!. Even if you use parallels or vm. Michael you should know about that since you sent me the original info re my mac on parallels.
So, unless you have an old pc at home, MITRAS wont work on a MAC. I have exhausted all avenues including paying other parties to see if possible. Bottom line NO ONE can come up with WHY!!!!!
But if anyone wants to give it a try I AM ALL FOR IT

We have other users using mac. DoggyDocs issue was with the computer as per the onward support case and links GHL sent at the time, something GHL can not have control of, I wish there was an answer for that situation with his Mac, sorry. I can only suggest reloading VM and windows.

The 471 error may be caused by windows system files damage. The corrupted windows system files entries can be a real threat to the well being of your computer.

There can be many events which may have resulted in the system files errors. An incomplete installation, an incomplete uninstall, improper deletion of applications or hardware. It can also be caused if your computer is recovered from a virus or adware/spyware attack or by an improper shutdown of the computer. All the above actives may result in the deletion or corruption of the entries in the windows registry. This corrupted registry will lead to the missing and wrongly linked information and files needed for the proper working of the application.

If there are any Mac users out there, I'd love to hear from them, but ultimately, it isn't going to change my decision.
These mitras are the king of the hill..

Michael can you please report which other Mac users you have at the moment. I would love to be able to chat with them to see if my problem can be resolved.

I am using a mac via bootcamp with win xp. works for me! Michael will faint when he hears this, but I am only using 4.08 as I just couldn't bring myself to reprogram my Profilux for the upgrade to five.

I have no issues and connects flawlessly every time!

Are you talking about Mitras or Profilux control?
I DO NOT have a problem connecting to my Profilux via my Mac using latest version.
When I asked about Mac users, as the HEADING STATES MICHAEL, this is about Mitras connection NOT PROFILUX
Maybe I am mistaken but I think Shaggs is talking about Profilux connect.

If you still feel strongly its a GHL issue I think to save side tracking this fantastic thread with support cases, if you could please follow up with GHL again directly, as I personally do not have the answer to your question other than what is out there on Google and what GHL have emailed you directly with as to the answer. I also have not seen on the global support forum any other concerns and I doubt you are the only global MAC user, but please feel free to post there for guidence.

And Michael is NOT about sidetracking a thread, it is about THE TRUTH!!!!
I WOULD LIKE TO SEE ONE OTHER USER THAT IS ABLE TO CONNECT MITRAS TO MAC VIA PARALLELS.
Its NOT a MITRAS issue, but some MITRAS users have MAC computers using parallels....so in the end if GHL cares about its customers...then ITS A GHL ISSUE

I am using bootcamp for BOTH Profilux & GCC. Both work no trouble. I can try to help you but I am a computer nerd and I probably got it to work by chance! haha!

why don't you use bootcamp? it is free with the mac and I'm sure you have a copy of windows lying around? I am sure there are other bootcamp users without your issues. worth a try......

DoggyDoc, I appreciate your concern but as you can see clients are using MAC so it really is not an issue of GHL or one they can resolve for you. I am sorry this is not what you wish to accept, but there is only so much support a company can provide. If it was a GHL issue of course they would look to resolve it but based on all the Google topics of your exact issue it is not a GHL one.

I truly am sorry in this case we can not assist in the resolution, but I hope shaggs can give you some ood pointers.

How many units would I need to adequately cover a 72" x 18" x 21" deep tank with some SPS near the bottom? I'd prefer just two units based on cost but I don't want to have any dark areas like at the ends or middle.

Technically speaking, from what I have gathered, two units, end to end or parrallel with your tank should do it..
They are purported to decently cover a 36 by 24 inch area... However, you might not want to put light loving sps on the bottom sides of your tank..
I'm sure somebody with hands on experience will give you a more definitive answer..

OK here are some very BAD photos. I must say that I am extremely pleased so far with the corals response to the LEDs. There is much more growth than before, but I feel the colour has washed a bit. I am sure this is because of the corals adapting to the new lights and my lack of knowledge in programing a decent spectrum for them.

My Bubble tip has also "Bubbled up" since the new lights.
