Folks,

I have a never been used GHL pH probe and fluids that have sat in their original packaging for about 17 months, never been open. Are they still usable, or do I need to replace them?

Thanks!

I would replace the fluids they only have a shelf life of a year this is standard with all fluids for calibration.

The probe - only way of telling is to use it. But a probe no matter who makes it is degenerative and should be replaced annually, but with GHL probes I am confident you would get 18 months or more out of them as they seem pretty bullet proof, I have one going strong after 5 years, the way to know is how long they take to calibrate, if they are taking more than 5 minutes per set point then replace them

Just wanted to share. both the fluids and the probe calibrated correctly after 17 months sitting in the box unopened! Pretty impressive for sure, and a testament to the quality GHL provides!
