Ghost pipe fish on aandtsociety collecting trip.

Hi all.

I am from the Ausy aquarium club with the web name of aandtsociety.

In some areas here we see an enormous amount of ghost pipe fish from November to February,sometimes longer if the freshwater flushes don’t kill them all.

From time to time a clubby will want one and we will get one or two for them on our club trips.

This year before the heavy rains wiped out all the ghost pipe fish for this year, we saw any where from 30 to 40 Solenostomus paegnius,pipe fish and 5 to 15 Solenostomus paradoxus/Harlequin ghost pipe fish per trip.

Yep,it sure did.

Julie,we got it for her,the clubby that asked for one had a near fifty percent success with them she said.

Just as well,the heavy rains just recently wiped out all the pipe fish in the area.

Shame there were a hell of a lot of them this year!

Julie has had a bit to do with seahorses so she knows what to do,i have very little knowledge of the keeping of these creatures.
