I've sold off the majority of my coral and clams but still need to find someone who can house a huge clam. This Derasa is as big as a football, and has a mantle extending 11-12" at it's length and 8-9" wide. This clam is also quite a grower, adding almost 3" in a year. I have this clam in my 150 gallon tank but that's the smallest tank I would use. I would also only recommend an established tank. While a clam this large is very hardy it also has a large calcium intake and requires stability. I already turned down a buyer based on tank size and age. A new tank or large parameter swings could kill this clam, resulting in hundreds of gallons of clam chowder :eek2:
