Gig acclimation

Well i put it back in its original spot a few hours ago and it hasn't moved since, strange. On a side note I never realized how sticky the feet of gigs are since I got I got it attached to a piece of LR when I did the trade.

He looks good. Water movement is fine. I would put more light on him. Possible he just did not have enough light and like to go to a better place.
I have seen this with Magnifica but not with Gigantea.
Is it possible for you to move him up closer to the light?

Thank you Minh. It hasn't moved again but I just bumped up the whites from 95% to 100 and also lowered the fixture about 2 inches. Does anyone know why some gigs have those beautiful long tentacles and mine are kinda stubby?

Because yours is a new arrival. Stress does that. Once acclimated, when it's healthy, it should grow longer tents. It can take from weeks to months, depending on the condition it was in BEFORE it started it's stressful travel to your tank. Your tank conditions will also play a part. That one should turn into a real beauty with TLC.

They are but I always see these videos of the shaggy carpets and was wondering when my gig will look like that.
Yours does look good. I would be very happy with that one.
Environment will affect how long they get. In some tanks, they may never get longer than 2"(which is still pretty good!), other tanks they may get 4-5" around the mouth.

Thank you and trust me I love this nem, it's just my first gig and I'm still learning what to look for and signs if their happy or not.

Well after increasing my whites to the max and lowering the fixture a bit the gig looks very happy today. Also it's amazing that a little over a week from leaving my magnificent anemone my faded clown is getting his color back.

Well lasted update. Last night I caught my new Flame Angel nipping at my SPS so he had to go, he didn't go peacefully. I had to remove a lot of rock work and practically rescape my entire tank. The anemone hasn't looked very happy since. I don't see any obvious tares in its foot and it hasn't deflated, just smaller then usual. If I had to do it over I would have left the flame and lost my SPS rather then lose this gig. I guess time will tell :(

Have you done a water change? I usually do a 20% WC in cases like this.

I did do a small wc. Even for the reason that so much stuff was kicked up when moving the rocks, also added fresh carbon. So far no sight of deflation and it actually looks a little happier today, the blues just kicked on but when the whites go on I'll try to take a short video.

Would you guys recommend feeding to increase the strength of the gig or not? Again I can't confirm anything tore just fearing the worst.

Also I finally added a second ph for added flow, I have two Jebao pp4s synced in w2 mode which is supposed to be like a sine curve. Here's the latest video, try not to let my clowns make you dizzy lol they do this all day but snuggle in the nem together when the lights are off.
